  • JUNE 5, 2026 - Deadline for Workshop Submission

Workshop - A session in which attendees participate hands on learning and typically take something home with them. for example a workshop on drawing manga where attendees learn and draw their own manga

Performance - A session in which attendees do not participate they watch. This could be on stage. Live and in person. for example music or theatre performance.

Panel - A session in which there could be attendee participation. Typically informative. Would not require to be live. For example a history or manga panel including video and or pre recorded amount of presentation.

Demonstration - A session in which there could be attendee participation. Would require to be live. For example a martial arts demonstration.

Application

Please be sure your panel idea fits in with one of the aspects of MiAnime; Manga, Animation, Gaming (all kinds), Costuming, Physical Arts (including martial arts and flow), Japanese culture, kaiju, Japanese history… etc.

Make sure you do ample research, be prepared on your topic, and have all of your participants ready. Don’t pick a topic/show/workshop you know “a little” about and wing it! Supporting documentation, references from other conventions at which you hosted the panel, and very detailed descriptions are the most helpful for us when we are choosing which panels/events are accepting into MiAnime’s 2026 event.

MiAnime is an all ages con, and therefore We DO NOT permit Performances with any adult or inappropriate content. Our main stage area is public for ALL AGES. Panels and/ or workshops which include adult only content MUST BE INDICATED on the application as well as anything that may violate our agreements with the venue(s) (such as some food-based panels) or compromise us legally. The host of any panel, performance, or event must be at least 16 years old.
